Mads Mikkelsen is apparently in early talks with David Yates to take on the role of Grindelwald in the third installment of the Harry Potter spinoff Fantastic Beasts. According to a Deadline article.

By now we have all heard about Johnny Depp being asked to resign from the Fantastic Beasts movies where he played Grindelwald. Depp was asked to leave the project due to abuse allegations from a British Tabloid labeling him as a “wife beater”
